Static Reservoir Modelling and Reserves Calculation

To evaluate and assess the potential of a prospect, hydrocarbon reserves are calculated through a static reservoir modelling effort. Especially when appraising and comparing different prospects, static modelling is a commonly performed task. The following subjects can be included in such a study:
  • Deterministic and stochastic geocellular reservoir models employing Petrel or JewelSuite.
  • Quantify geology: assign static reservoir properties.
  • Uncertainty definitions: calculations of deterministic and probabilistic reserves.
  • Appraisal of drilling locations and well proposals: scope for early field development. Identification of in-field opportunities in case of tired/non-operated assets.
  • Risk assessment: advise in relation to acquisition and investment decisions.
