Boost your Project with Reprocessed Data!
AmsterdamPG is specialised in reprocessing vintage seismic data for Oil & Gas and Geothermal energy from surveys in the Sixties throughout the Nineties. Especially unmigrated data with high noise levels can experience considerable enhancement by reprocessing.
Migration
A common problem with vintage seismic data is that deeper formations are often not properly imaged. The most important reason for this is improper migration. Lack of image focussing by under- and overmigration and resulting migration artefacts mask important horizons. Seismic signal-to-noise ratio is also sub-optimal at these deeper seismic reflections.
Prestack and poststack
Since the first processing of vintage surveys, many new migration algorithms with superior imaging capabilities have been introduced, such as turning-ray migration and reverse-time migration. AmsterdamPG can use these algorithms for the best imaging. Reprocessing is most effective on stacked data prior to migration (prestack). As this data is often not available, poststack processing is also possible, including advanced re-migration.
Further enhancements of the seismic data can be achieved by applying frequency-filtering, multichannel filtering and amplitude scaling, which can suppress left-over noise and migration artefacts for a cleaner image. read more...
